Opis
Beris Port is a coastal settlement located on the Makran coast of southeastern Iran, characterized by high sandstone cliffs that overlook a natural harbor and the Sea of Oman. The primary habitats include rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, and the open marine environment of the bay. The base of the cliffs serves as a sheltered area for traditional fishing vessels, while the surrounding terrestrial landscape is a rugged, arid desert plateau with sparse vegetation.
The birdlife in Beris is dominated by marine and coastal species. In the winter months, the bay and its surrounding shores are frequented by various gulls and terns, like Sandwich Tern, Greater Crested Tern, Caspian Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull.
