Opis
Lardia Valley is located between Vatousa and Andissa, and provides some unique views over the deep gorge with surrounded wooded hills. The area is a great foraging spot for many species of migrating songbird. A road leads you through this area, and multiple lay-overs provide you with some great spots to search for migrants (see map).
On the northern side of the road, the wooded hills provide great spots for migrating songbirds, like muchołówka szara, wilga (zwyczajna) and pleszka. Especially in the morning, this road is perfect to stop as much as possible to look for these birds. On the southern side of the road, rocky outcrops provide great breeding habitat for typical inland species, like kowalik skalny, jaskólka skalna and even wróbel skalny.
Check the hilltops for raptors, like gadożer and kurhannik.
