A track which runs Southwest from a picnic area with the Lake on your right hand side (this section maybe dry depending upon the time of year you visit) and can be exited further down the track at Limochori, Chryssohorafa or Lithotopos. The area at the start of the Eastern Embankment track, the Meglachori triangle is worth stopping and checking out on foot, here we had zielonka, tamaryszka, orlik grubodzioby, orlik krzykliwy, warzęcha, sokół skalny, dzięcioł zielony, dzięcioł zielonosiwy, kormoran mały, muchołówka szara, kopciuszek and many more birds. For a circular route drive from the picnic area Southwest with the lake on the right hand side birdwatching from the car until you come to the first fork on the road approx 6Km down the track, take the left hand fork through Limochori which takes you back onto the main road Iraklia to Meglachori.
