Opis
The Stahlberg and Hölleberg area is dominated by well-preserved calcareous grasslands in different stages of succession and interesting for breeding birds of semi-open habitat, including kukułka, przepiórka, słowik rdzawy, skowronek, dzięcioł zielony, świerszczak, gąsiorek, świergotek drzewny, lerka and krętogłów. Visitors are kania czarna and kania ruda, bocian czarny, kruk and kobuz. The area is also a well-known hotspot among botanists (orchids) and entomologists (e.g. butterflies).

The site is accessible by car, there is a parking possibility at the airfield Hölleberg. From there, several hiking routes lead along the plateau which offers a scenic view over the Diemel valley. The length of the route you see on the map is about 7 km.
