Resting cranes at Totalreservat Wanninchen

During migration in spring and autmn, this is one of the largest and most southern żuraw resting spots in Germany.

Opis

You can explore the area by foot or watch the birds from an observation tower. Besides żuraw you can watch al lot of different geese coming in for resting and a lot of other waterbirds like different types of ducks etc.

You can get there by car, at the Sielmann Natur-Erlebniszentrum you find a parking place, from there you can explore the area by foot or bicycle.

During migration the Sielmanns Natur-Erlebniszentrum offers so called Kranichsafaries (Cranesafaries) where you can get closer to the birds. Also they offer some events where you get the chance to watch them fly in in the evening together with other birders. Have a drink and chat.
