Opis
Kiesseen Prettin is a body of water of 112 hectare located on the Elbe River near Prettin. Characteristic are the shoals and the sandbanks, some of which lie in the middle of the water. Almost 50 breeding bird species are known on the site. The waterfowl include łabędź niemy and łyska. The vertical bank walls are inhabited by brzegówka, and ostrygojad breeds on the gravelly flat banks. trzcinniczek (zwyczajny), łozówka and potrzos live in the reed beds, while słowik rdzawy and remiz live in the damp wood along the banks. The dry bushes are inhabited by gąsiorek, cierniówka and piegża, while pustułka (zwyczajna), wilga (zwyczajna) and mazurek breed in the trees. kuropatwa, pokląskwa, dzierlatka (zwyczajna) and białorzytka live on the ruderal and barren areas. The gravel lakes are also important for resting migrating waterfowl, especially gęś tundrowa, gęś białoczelna, głowienka, czernica and nurogęś.
