Opis
At Harlesiel and Elisabethgroden the areas outside the dike are particularly worth watching all year round. Due to the extensive salt marsh, the Wadden Sea is too far away to clearly see the birds there, but there are several pools/gullies outside the dike. Large groups of szablodziób and warzęcha rest there between late summer and autumn. All four species of harriers (błotniak stawowy, błotniak zbożowy, błotniak łąkowy and błotniak stepowy) can be found in the salt marshes in summer. Large resting groups of geese and czajka as well as siewka złota can be found on the agricultural lands inside the dikes, especially in autumn and winter.
