Feuchtgebiet Gretesch is a wetland that is home to many different species of birds throughout the year. Especially waterfowl such as krakwa, cyraneczka, łyska or perkozek. During migration you can also see wading birds such as kszyk or samotnik. Depending on the season, songbirds such as kląskawka and pliszka górska as well as birds of prey such as myszołów, pustułka (zwyczajna) or pójdźka can be found in the neighboring meadows.

By car, take the A33 motorway and take exit 7 “Lüstringen”. Drive east on Mindener Straße and after about 1 km turn left onto “Burg Gretesch” street. After another 750 m there is a publicly accessible parking lot on the right. The nearest bus stop is “Osnabrück Schoeller”. The best way to explore the area is on foot from the car park or bus stop. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 1,5 km.
