As the larger lake is used for recreation it is easy accessible by bike from Kirchentellinsfurt or the bikeroad along the river Neckar. Its a 20 minute walk from the nearest bus station in Kirchentellinsfurt. Also there is a designated car-parking area that is free in winter but charged with a small fee during summer.

The western lake is used for bathing and recreation, therefore it is better to visit in the early morning hours. Also the southern shore is used as nudist beach area.
