Opis

Exploring the Sentier des Américains trail allows you to encounter a number of species from the rainforests and the understory. It also provides a better understanding of French Guiana's historical heritage, particularly during colonization and the Second World War.

Français: Le site est un sentier géré par la réserve naturelle du mont grand Matoury. Il permet de parcourir un forêt humide / marécage. Pospecter sur ce sentier permets de rencontrer un certain nombre d'espèces des forêts humides et du sous-étage forestier. Il permet aussi de mieux connaître l'héritage historique de la Guyane, notamment pendant la colonisation et la deuxième guerre mondiale.

Sentier des Américains is located west of the town of Matoury. There are two trailheads. The first is located at the far end of the Désirée district: 4°50'41.5"N 52°20'54.7"W. The second starts from the Concorde district: 4°50'23.3"N 52°21'06.4"W. Both trailheads are indicated with a P on the map.
