Pointe de Chassiron is located at the end of the island of Oléron, and probably the most interesting place for the observation of pelagic birds (= seawatch), like głuptak, nurzyk or even burzyk balearski.
The best time to observe seabirds, like any bird for that matter, is from dawn until noon. The only really interesting period for the seawatch is fall. You will then be able to observe a very large diversity of open sea birds, such as: gęgawa, bernikla obrożna, edredon, markaczka, szlachar, perkoz rogaty, perkoz dwuczuby, wydrzyk wielki, nurzyk, alka, mewa obrożna, śmieszka, mewa mała, mewa czarnogłowa, mewa pospolita, mewa srebrzysta, mewa romańska, mewa żółtonoga, mewa siodłata, rybitwa białoczelna, rybitwa czubata, rybitwa rzeczna, nur rdzawoszyi, lodowiec, nawałnik burzowy, burzyk balearski, głuptak and finally kormoran czubaty.
During migration, it is also possible to observe a large number of passerines and Anatidae.
NB: a szpak jednobarwny has been nesting for several years under the tiles of the most advanced house with szpak.

NB: un szpak jednobarwny niche depuis plusieurs années sous les tuiles de la maison la plus à la pointe avec des szpak .
