Opis
The gravel pits of Osselle are bordered by meadows and crops, located in the alluvial plain of the Doubs, in the Burgundy franche-Comté region and near Besançon. 93 species of birds are breeding and 210 species of birds have been seen on the gravel complex. In winter and during migration many ducks, geese, grebes, waders and gulls can be seen. On the sandy banks nest brzegówka, żołna and zimorodek. On the gently sloping banks and the surroundings of the site nest sieweczka rzeczna. Several other species of heron, birds of prey and songbirds also make a stop in the area, feed here or nest in the bushy vegetation.

Français: Les gravières d'Osselle correspondent à un complexe de plans d'eau artificiels bordés de prairies et cultures, situé en plaine alluviale du Doubs, en région Bourgogne Franche-Comté et à proximité de Besançon. Le plan de gestion de 2014 met en évidence 93 espèces d'oiseaux en reproduction pour 210 espèces d'oiseaux contactés sur le complexe des gravières. Les enjeux ornithologiques se résument ainsi : hivernage et/ou migration des oiseaux d’eau (Canards, Foulques, Grèbes, Cygnes, Limicoles, Laridés, etc.) en automne, hiver et printemps. Nidification d’espèces liées à la présence de berges sableuses : Hirondelle de rivage, Guêpier d’Europe, Martin-pêcheur d’Europe. Nidification de limicoles au sol sur les berges en pente douce et les abords du site : Petit Gravelot. Alimentation et migration pour les ardéidés (hérons de plusieurs espèces), rapaces (Balbuzard), etc. Nidification et migration de passereaux dans la végétation herbacée ou buissonnante.
