Col de La Colombière is ornithologically a very interesting spot with many species of large raptors pass at the level of the pass such as orłosęp, or sęp płowy and other smaller species such as nagórnik and other mountain passerines. Nice overall view when you go up a little bit towards Lac de Peyre.

Français: Petit coin perdu dans la montagne, dans la chaine du Bargy. Spot ornithologiquement très intéressant avec de nombreuses espèces de grand rapaces passent au niveau du col comme le orłosęp, l' orzeł przedni ou encore le sęp płowy et 'autre espèces plus petites comme le nagórnik et d'autre passereaux de montagne. Jolie vu d'ensemble lorsque l'on monte un petit peu en direction du lac de Peyre.

The use of binoculars or spotting scopes for observing large raptors or even passerines is highly recommended for better quality observations. In addition, many mammal species are present in the area such as ibexes, chamois, marmots, fox or deer.
