Opis
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare wąsatka and there are nesting some other rare birds like bączek , podróżniczek and dziwonia. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example białorzytka , brzęczka , mewa czarnogłowa , rybołów and sometimes even wodniczka and tamaryszka.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like biegus zmienny , batalion , biegus malutki , biegus krzywodzioby , brodziec śniady , łęczak and some other. Also you can observe kropiatka or wodnik (zwyczajny).
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching wąsatka and if you are lucky you can see wintering bąk or rzepołuch .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: płatkonóg szydłodzioby , kamusznik , terekia , rycyk , biegus rdzawy , orlica , rybitwa czubata , rybitwa popielata , jaskółka rudawa , błotniak stepowy , mewa obrożna , wodniczka , tamaryszka and many others.

The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
