Opis
Puente de Mulas has a mix of habitas with a river surrounded by pastures and forest. In a small area you can encounter many different birds, from hummingbirds, tanagers, flycatchers, to migratory warblers depending on the season. Surprises are often seen. Birds that are often observed include Steely-vented Hummingbird, Wood Stork, Snowy Egret, Lesser Ground-Cuckoo, Squirrel Cuckoo, Grey Hawk, Lesson's Motmot, Hoffmann's Woodpecker, Crested Caracara, Streak-headed Woodcreeper, Crimson-fronted Parakeet and Yellow-throated Euphonia.

Puente de Mulas is located just south of the international airport in San Jose. You can park along the street. Best to explore the area on foot.
