Opis
The village of Zammelen is located on the edge of the Haspengouw plateau and in the valley of the winding stream Mombeek. A combination of water, lime and sand in the soil creates a nature reserve with alternating meadows, hay fields, marsh and patches of wet forests. These different landscapes attract many birds. Birds you can observe in the area include czapla biała, kukułka, wilga (zwyczajna), czubatka, bocian biały, błotniak zbożowy and skowronek.

Een combinatie van water, leem, kalk en zand in de bodem zorgt voor een natuurgebied met afwisselende beemden, hooilanden, moerassen en broekbosjes. Die verschillende landschappen trekken veel vogels aan. Vogels die je kunt zien zijn onder meer czapla biała, kukułka, wilga (zwyczajna), czubatka, bocian biały, błotniak zbożowy en skowronek.
