Opis
The Put van Vlissegem was created by the extraction of sand and clay and has salty water. Because the lake does not freeze over during the winter months, the lake attracts wintering water birds such as świstun, Płaskonos, rożeniec, cyraneczka and zausznik. Breeding birds include rokitniczka, wodnik (zwyczajny), perkozek, ohar and czernica. During migration there is a chance of seeing wading birds such as brodziec śniady, kwokacz, samotnik, brodziec piskliwy and batalion. There is a bird hide on the western bank of the lake.

Nederlands: De Put van Vlissegem is ontstaan door de winning van zand en klei en heeft zilt water. Doordat de plas tijdens de wintermaanden niet toevriest trekt de put overwinterende watervogels zoals świstun, Płaskonos, rożeniec, cyraneczka en zausznik. Broedvogels zijn onder meer rokitniczka, wodnik (zwyczajny), perkozek, ohar en czernica. Tijdens de trektijd kans op steltlopers als brodziec śniady, kwokacz, samotnik, brodziec piskliwy en batalion.
