Opis

Ploegsteert is an old clay extraction area which has been converted to a mosaic of different marshy habitats and therefore a great location for many species of birds. Especially the extensive reedbeds in the area are great for species like wodnik (zwyczajny), herons, ducks and typical reed species, such as potrzos and wąsatka. The area is a must see for bąk and zausznik.

Des bassins d'extractions, convertis en zones humides marécageuses, présentent une mosaïque de milieux. La proximité des roselières est un des atouts de ce site, propices aux rallidés, ardéidés, anatidés et passereaux paludicoles. Le site est un must pour l'observation du zausznik et du bąk .... entre autres.

De Ploegsteert is located 15 km south of the town of Ypres, near the Belgian-French border. Access to the site is possible via the nature reserve car park. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. From the car park the site is accessible on foot.

Réserve Naturelle et Ornithologique de Ploegsteert est située à 15 km au sud de la ville d'Ypres, près de la frontière belgo-française. L'accès au site est possible via le parking de la réserve. Le site est accessible à pied.
