Opis
The Koppenbergbos is a deciduous forest where you can enjoy woodpeckers such as dzięcioł duży as a common species and the dzięcioł średni as the rarest. The large trees and the low-lying wood are good for kowalik, pełzacz ogrodowy and sikora uboga. The bushes are home to smaller songbirds such as zniczek, mysikrólik and classics such as zięba, kapturka supplemented with jer in winter. For several years now, as in many forests in the Flemish Ardennes, there has been the presence of puchacz.

Nederlands: Het Koppenbergbos is een hellingbos met als primaire soorten beuken als boomsoort waar je kan genieten van kowalik, sikora uboga en andere soorten. In dit loofhoutbos kun je spechten als dzięcioł duży zien als algemene soort en ook de dzięcioł średni als de meeste zeldzame. De grote bomen en het middelhout is dan weer goed voor kowalik, pełzacz ogrodowy en sikora uboga. In de struiken zitten de kleinere zangers zoals zniczek, mysikrólik en de klassiekers zoals zięba, kapturka aangevuld met jer in de winter. Sinds enkele jaren is er de aanwezigheid zoals in vele bossen in de Vlaamse Ardennen van puchacz.

The Koppenbergbos is located just south of Oudenaarde. There is a parking lot at the end of the Maria van der Gheynststraat. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 4 km.
