Opis
Even the industrial/urban area in the north of this region harbours quite some good species in winter, like świstun, krakwa, czernica and głowienka. They can be common near te sewage works, as do gulls perkozek and gęgawa.
In recent years bąk has become almost annual (often more then one) and some years wąsatka turns up. There's a big breeding population of trzcinniczek (zwyczajny) (>20 pairs) as do wierzbówka zwyczajna and potrzos in small numbers. In some years even podróżniczek breeds here.
The meadow areas further to the south, especially those along the railway hold most of the time waders in late winter and spring. rycyk, łęczak, samotnik, batalion, sieweczka rzeczna (breeds some years), biegus zmienny, kszyk, bekasik and others are seen annual. In winter this area often holds siwerniak. In wet years species as cyranka and Płaskonos can be breeding here. Irregular breeders are potrzos, wierzbówka zwyczajna and kląskawka.
The area more to the south can hold zimorodek, pliszka górska, kląskawka and the same species mentioned earlier, but chances on these are more remote.
