Opis
This rather unimposing small salt lake, at the northern boundary of iconic Stirling Range National Park, has become a 'go-to' site for Western Fieldwren. Other sought after birds which are regularly recorded at this site include Tawny-crowned Honeyeater, Western Whipbird, Western Spinebill and Elegant Parrot.
The lake is usually mostly dry becoming a salt flat. Most birders approach the site simply by parking near the south margin adjacent to Salt Lake Road and then proceeding to walk a circular route around the margins of the lake.
