Opis
Derby wetlands are formed via an overflow from the adjacent water treatment plant. More than 170 bird species have been recorded here. An observation platform looks over the site. Note that the treatment ponds themselves are not normally very productive.
Birds seen here include migratory shorebirds such as Wood Sandpiper and Common Sandpiper and many water loving species including Radjah Shelduck and Plumed Whistling-Duck.
