Yerevan Botanical Garden covers an area of approximately 80 hectares and is filled with trees, dense shrubs, and peaceful shaded areas, making it a great habitat for birds. Yerevan Botanical Garden is located in the northern part of the city, making it easily accessible for a nature break without leaving Yerevan. The garden is about a 15-minute drive from the city center. You can park near the main entrance. Press P on the map for directions. Public Transport: Several buses and minibuses stop near the garden. Bus routes 20, 54 from the city center pass nearby. The closest stop is "Botanical Garden." By Taxi/Ride-hailing Services: Apps like GG or Yandex.Go offer a fast and affordable way to reach the garden.
The entry fee for Yerevan Botanical Garden is 500 AMD (2025). Opening times: 09:00 to 20:00 from April to October, and 09:00 to 17:30 during November to March. A short walk can take 1–2 hours, but for birdwatching, a longer visit of 3–4 hours is recommended. The garden has several walking paths through different tree-covered areas.
Photographing birds with a professional camera costs 5000 AMD (payment can be made at the entrance, or you can simply avoid visibly carrying a camera in front of staff).
