Teignmouth is a seaside town on the South Devon coast. With onshore winds a good place to see pelagic species close.
Teignmouth is a busy holiday destination during the summer months, it's railway station is on the Paddington to Penzance mainline. The town is East facing and the South West Coast Path runs along it's seafront to Dawlish further North. This path is particularly good for maritime species especially with onshore winds that can bring pelagic species close, Gulls/Divers/Seaducks and Terns can also be expected.
The A381 heads due East to Teignmouth from Newton Abbot that is close to the A380 Exeter to Torquay road, there is on street parking and a number of car parks(pay and display), the seafront is easily accessible. The summer months mean that the narrow beaches can become very busy.
BE WARNED: during stormy weather conditions this part of the South West Coast Path can be HAZARDOUS.
