Description

Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see Vipe, Rødstilk and Enkeltbekkasin nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as Sivsanger, Gulerle and Sivspurv can be heard and seen singing from the trails.

Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. Vipe and Heilo are sometimes joined by Myrsnipe, Brushane and Svarthalespove. Large flocks of Brunnakke, Krikkand and smaller groups of Skjeand, Snadderand and Stjertand feed in front of the hides. Vandrefalk and Sivhauk are seen regularly and Dvergfalk and Myrhauk occasionally.
