Description

Baston Fen LWT Reserve is a long tract of permanent pasture, which is flooded in winter and attracts large numbers of wildfowl. Baston Fen is interesting because the site has so much wildlife in such a small space (especially in winter). If you are a waterfowl enthusiast this is the place for you, with lots of different species easily viewed from a walk along the dyke. Waders can be prominent here also. Among the birds you can encounter are Sangsvane, Heilo, Gjøk, Sivspurv, Rødhøne, Kvartbekkasin, Tjeld, Skjeand, Rørsanger, Vipe and Sivhauk.
