Description

Balmossie is the point where the Dighty Water stream flows into the estuary east of Dundee. Good area to spot waders, wildfowl and gulls from August through to April. Many Ærfugl can be spotted. Fiskeørn and Vandrefalk feeding at times. Lovely rivet views, year round of interest. High tide time is best avoided, see a link to the tide table below.

Access

Balmossie is located east of Dundee and easily accessible from Dundee and around Angus by public transport. There is a train stop right on site (marked with 1 on the map), but check timetables. There are also regular buses. The point is wheelchair accessible.
