Description

The Alte Aare near Aarberg is an interesting area for birdwatchers. Thanks to the variety of habitats - water, reeds, floodplain forest - many bird species find food, breeding grounds and resting places here. In addition to common species such as herons, ducks, Svartglente, and woodpeckers, Isfugl and Pirol can also be observed with a bit of luck. The area is particularly exciting during the migration periods in spring and autumn, when numerous migratory birds stop over.
