Description
The final part of Nyköpingsån river flows through the city of Nyköping. Along the river there is a very good walking path on both sides. Mostly functionally adapted. The best time to visit is during autumn, winter and spring. In the part from the harbor basin and upstream to Korsbron, there is no ice for the most part in winter and can Laksand, Toppand and Kvinand be observed. On the river's edge Gråhegre are often standing. At the rapids you can find Fossekall and Isfugl. On the stretch from Folkunga Bridge to Storhusfallet, there is also a point for Fossekall, Isfugl and Vintererle. From Storhusfallet to Stadsbron are mostly Stokkand, Toppand and Kvinand. In the spring, the harbor basin is one of the places where the first Hettemåke, Makrellterne and other gulls and terns appear.
