From the picturesque Carril pier, you can see the island of Cortegada. Large number of seabirds. The Toppskarv, Lomvi and Alke stand out.

Description

From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like Splitterne and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see Svartbak and Sildemåke. The most frequent are Gulbeinmåke and Hettemåke. You can also see Krykkje and Svartehavsmåke. Also Havsule. The frequency of Toppskarv and Alcidae like Lomvi, Alke or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.

Espagnol: Desde el muelle pintoresco de Carril se contempla la cercana isla de Cortegada. Gran cantidad de aves marinas. Destacan el Toppskarv y álcidos. Desde el muelle, sobre las estacas de madera, suelen descansar aves como Splitterne y gaviotas. No es raro ver Svartbak y Sildemåke. Las más frecuentes son Gulbeinmåke y Hettemåke. Pueden verse Krykkje y Svartehavsmåke. También el Havsule. La frecuencia de Toppskarv y álcidos como Lomvi, Alke o pardelas hace del lugar un sitio especial. La isla mantiene formación boscosa con gran número de laureles. La avifauna terrestre es mucho menos interesante, aunque aporta especies a la lista de observación.

The best time is sunrise. I have always gone in summer, and even so, warm clothes are recommended for that time. A jacket is enough.
