Description
Silne Błota has a water reservoir that was created as a result of peat exploitation in the nineteenth century and during World War II. The area of the open water surface is no more than 30% of the total surface. The remaining part is mainly overgrown. A small fragment is occupied by currant alder. The surroundings of the area are – from the north side, a pine forest growing on a complex of inland dunes, while from the south the land of the village of Kwilno – once meadows and pastures, today mainly wastelands. In Silne Błota you can observe birds like Rørdrum, Trane, Havørn, Sivhauk, Stork and Lerkefalk.
