Description
Park Sołacki was designed as an English style city park with old trees, ponds, walking paths and benches. During the weekends the park is full of families and kids but... the park is full of birds too. It is very easy to get there by bus, tram or bike. A circular walk will take you about half an hour only. If you are visiting Poznan for business or as a tourist it is a nice place for some relaxed birding. You will see mostly common birds like Stokkand, Kråke Sivhøne, Svarttrost , etc but also a chance on birds like Grønnsisik, Munk, Gråtrost, Flaggspett and Mandarinand.
In winter, when the surrounding reservoirs are frozen (e.g. in January 2024), there is a good chance of observing numerous Storskarv and Laksand .
