Łęższczok is a nature reserve with 8 ponds. 190 bird species have been seen here. There are trails to explore the area and there is an observation tower.
Łęższczok nature reserve covers an area of 408 hectares and is one of the largest in Poland. It has a very rich fauna and flora. Due to the numerous ponds, there are many water birds and waders here and it is a great place for birdwatching. Half of the species of birds living in Poland can be seen here. Two hiking trails and one cycle route pass through the area and there is an observation tower. Among the birds you can see here are Rødhodeand, Rørdrum, Dvergrørdrum, Trostesanger, Sumpsanger, Pirol and Sivhauk.
The Łężczok nature reserve is located in the Odra River valley, west of the village of Babice, behind the Kędzierzyn-Racibórz railway line. Ample parking at the entrance. Click on the P in the map to get directions. Two trails cross the reserve (see the map).
It is estimated that the reserve ranks second in Poland in terms of the number of bird species.
