Description
Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of Kattugle can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. Mandarinand, Laksand and Stokkand nest in the park. A pair of Ravn breed here every year as well.
The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see Grønnspett, Flaggspett and Mellomspett on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see Dvergspett, Svartspett or a Syriaspett. Various songbirds breed here, Spettmeis is very common. In May and June you might spot a Svarthvit Fluesnapper or Gråfluesnapper in the part of the park where horses used to be held.
