Bugaj Reservoir is a great place during spring and summer time. There is a breeding colony of Makrellterne, Svartterne and Hettemåke. Two or three pairs of Sivhauk also breed there. It is also a breeding place for Knoppsvane, Dvergdykker, Rørdrum, Skjeggmeis, Sivhøne and Toppdykker.
