Description
The western part of Polder Zeevang borders on the meandering Beemster ring canal. You have a wide unobstructed view. It is a quiet Natura 2000 area with wet grasslands. Meadow birds such as Rødstilk, Svarthalespove and Vipe breed here and you can enjoy observing the birds in the spring and summer.

Nederlands: Het westelijke deel van de Polder Zeevang grenst aan de meandere Beemster ringvaart. Je hebt er een weids vrij uitzicht. Het is een rustig Natura 2000 gebied met natte graslanden en delen met plasdras. Weidevogels als Rødstilk, Svarthalespove en Vipe broeden hier en kun je in de lente en zomer mooi bekijken.

Access
You can park in the parking lot of the Hobrede village hall (dorpshuis). Click on the P in the map for directions to the car park. From there you can walk or cycle around the area (5 km, see map). The area can be overseen well from the Oostdijk. At the red dot on the map you will find a large wet grassland area. Because the ring canal is in between, the birds are not very close, so a telescope can be useful.

Nederlands: Je kunt parkeren op het parkeerterrein van het dorpshuis Hobrede. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Vanaf daar kun je het gebied rond wandelen of fietsen (5 km, zie kaart). Vanaf de Oostdijk is het gebied te overzien. Bij de rode stip op de kaart vind je een groot plasdras gedeelte. Doordat de ringvaart er tussen zit, zitten de vogels niet heel dichtbij, dus een telescoop kan fijn zijn.
