Popular diving location in the province of Zeeland. The adjacent area is a stopping place and breeding ground for various bird species.
At the Bergse Diepsluis from the parking lot and the information column on the dike you have a beautiful view of the area. In the spring and summer there is a chance to see birds such as Blåstrupe, Tornirisk, Rødstilk, Avosett, Linerle and Vipe. In the winter months, groups of waterfowl hibernate here, such as Tundragås, Hvitkinngås, Brunnakke, Skjeand and Storspove. From the dike you walk towards the west. Along the Oosterschelde you have a chance of Siland, Skjærpiplerke, Tjeld and Steinvender.

Nederlands: De Bergse Diepsluis is een populaire duiklocatie in Zeeland. Het naastgelegen gebied is een pleisterplaats en broedplaats voor verschillende vogelsoorten. Vanaf de parkeerplaats en de informatiezuil op de dijk heb je prachtig uitzicht over het gebied. In de lente en zomer kans op onder meer Blåstrupe, Tornirisk, Rødstilk, Avosett, Linerle en Vipe. In de wintermaanden overwinteren hier groepen watervogels, zoals Tundragås, Hvitkinngås, Brunnakke, Skjeand en Storspove. Vanaf de dijk wandel je richting het westen. Langs de Oosterschelde heb je kans op Siland, Skjærpiplerke, Tjeld en Steinvender.
Parking is possible next to the dike (see map, click on the P for directions). The route can be done on foot or by bicycle. This location is also very suitable for visitors in a wheelchair. There are no sanitary facilities or catering facilities in the immediate vicinity.
