Description

The Haidersee (or Lago di San Valentino alla Muta) is located at an altitude of 1450 meters in the the highest section of the Adige Valley in South Tyrol. It is an easy to reach place with a fantastic panorama. Cycling and walking along the shore or on a 4.5-kilometer walking route is possible. The best parts for birdwatching are the south bank and the north bank. Among the birds you can encounter are Knoppsvane, Toppdykker, Dvergdykker, Toppand, Taffeland, Tornskate, Ravn, Munk, Duetrost and Svartrødstjert.
