Great viewpoint to see Lunde and Havsule. The landscapes are breathtaking.
The remote area of Hellisheiði near Ketilsstadhir is flat land overlooking a cliff. Very nice place for observing birds such as Lunde, Havsule, Krykkje, Alke and Lomvi.
The best way to visit this site is to drive to the parking lot. From the parking you can explore the coast where the birds will be massively present from May to July. The route is remote from the Ring Road, but normally safe to drive roughly from May to September.
Breathtaking landscapes. When you cross the tundra there is also the possibility of crossing birds such as Heilo or even Tyvjo. You can also have the chance to come face to face with an arctic fox.
