The road between Mavria and Platania is a great road to stop and drive along, and to observe many local breeding species, like Olivensanger, Sultansanger and Rødstrupesanger. The small houses and farms a worth a check for Kirkeugle, and the scattered trees are perfect for Trelerke. The scrubs and bushes are great for many species of shrike, like Rødhodevarsler and Hvitpannevarsler. The rocky outcrops are great for Klippespettmeis and Rustspurv.
During migration, the area is worth to check for species like Blåråke, Bieter and Pirol. Raptors are always present, and tend to hang around the hill tops, like Ørnvåk.

There's a road present, which you can stop and drive along between Platania and Mavria. Park your car carefully along the road, and check the area with binoculars.
