Description

The chapel of Agias Konstantinos and Eleni is located near the village of Eresos on the eastern side of Meladia valley. It's surrounded by several groves, which can be a great migrant trap during spring migration. Everything can show up in these groves, like flycatchers, warblers, Pirol, Turteldue and so much more. Locally, Balkanmeis breeds here.

The surrounding hills are great for inland species, like Rustspurv and Tyrkerspurv.

Recommended is the walk/drive through to Sigri through the Meladia Valley proper (this chapel is not actually in Meladia Valley). The wider valley bottom is one of the best migrant hot spots on Lesvos.
