Description
Zachariassee is such beautiful area for watching birds, but you can't see everything of the pond, because you can't go through the Kalte street. You can go through the Beleidiger street and have a good view over nearly everything. It is not the best place for very good photos, but a magnificent area to watch birds. In spring, you can spot waders such as Rødstilk and Gluttsnipe. Storskarv and Vipe breed, the Storspove attracts attention with its call. In spring sometimes Stylteløper can be found.

Access
The lake of Zachariassee is located to the northeast of Lippstadt, directly to the east of the village of Lipperbruch. You can reach the area by taking the B55 towards Lipperode and driving towards Mastholte. Shortly before the end of the village, turn right into Delbrücker Weg in the direction of sports fields. Here you can park. Click on the P in the map for directions. You have to walk a bit to reach the pond and the bird hide, but you can go through a little trail (see the map). It is also pretty easy to get to the area by public transport (train and then by bus).
