Description
The area is characterized by the enormous density of Sanglerke . Numbers are changing but for most of the year you almost stumble over them and they are not shy at all - as aren't the other regular breeding species Kornspurv, Tornskate, Steinskvett, Stillits or Sørnattergal. The area is a very popular public park and can get overcrowded during daytime so the best time for birding is early in the morning.
During migration time, common visitors are Svartstrupe, Buskskvett, Heipiplerke and Sivspurv. Less frequently, but regularly observed are Rugde, Jordugle or Trelerke. Also Vendehals and Markpiplerke are recorded yearly, mainly in August.
Keep your eyes open for overflying raptors and waders of all kind (there are single records of Storspove, Heilo, Aftenfalk, Fjellvåk, Myrhauk and so on)!
