Description
The pond of Rixdorfer Teich is popular with typical urban birds like Stjertmeis, Rødstrupe and Nøtteskrike, as well as waterfowl like Knoppsvane, Mandarinand and Sivhøne.
Some of the usual Kjøttmeis are very used to humans and will even take seeds from the hand. There is a family of Musvåk that live in the park, and one or two are usually hanging around in the trees near the pond. In summer many Låvesvale circle over the pond, and in autumn and winter there are always lots of Stillits in the alders next to the pond.
