Description
The small lake Mindelsee and its diversely structured shores host the highest number of breeding species in the whole region of Lake Constance (Bodensee).
The Hvitøyeand can be observed in autumn. A colony of Makrellterne nests on rafts in the lake. Also Vannrikse, Svartglente, Rødhodeand, Svartspett, Gråspett, Grønnspett, Mellomspett, Trepiplerke, Sumpsanger, Rørsanger, Sørnattergal and Pirol can be observed in breeding period. In winter Rørdrum and Laksand may be of interest.

Access
Access by public transport: There is a bus from Radolfzell station to Möggingen. Markelfingen also has a train station.
Access by car: The most convenient parking lot is on the road between Radolfzell and Möggingen: "Parkplatz Mindelsee". Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular trail around the lake that is shown on the map is about 9 km.
