Description
Langer See is decent for waterbirds and birds that rely on water. Spring is the best time to visit, since you'll want to see Rørsanger and Sivspurv. Despite being a park with many people, Sivhøne are very common, and will show up in groups to forage right next to the path. This makes Langer See a pretty good place for Sivhøne photography. Toppdykker are also relatively common, and you may be able to spot them with chicks during the correct season. Listen for Rørsanger, they're easier to hear than see, and watch for Stokkand, Grågås, and Sothøne.

Access
Langer See is located in Böblingen. You can park on the street near the bridge. Press P on the map for directions. Then cross the bridge to get to the other side, where Sivhøne are oftentimes easily spotted. It is easy to walk on foot (the circular walk is about 2 km). The area can be explored relatively quickly, and so would make a good 'lunchbreak location'.
