Description
The bird sanctuary 'Lahntal zwischen Marburg und Gießen' is an open river valley along the river Lahn. The area of 750 hectares is dominated by river forest, reed beds and unspoiled old tributaries of the river Lahn. The area is also used for agriculture and many open fields border the river.
