Description
The Kleine Lagune Dossenheim may not be very big, but it is all the more special for that. A beaver dam has dammed the stream that flows here, creating a body of water with mud flats. In addition to birds, many amphibians can also be observed here.
Of particular interest from an ornithological perspective are the waders that rest here during migration, such as the Gluttsnipe, Skogsnipe and Grønnstilk. However, the Dverglo, Rødstilk, Vipe and other waders are also regularly observed. Of course, the Egretthegre and Gråhegre can also be seen here. More rarely, a Purpurhegre also wanders here.
In the wet meadows, Buskskvett or Svartstrupe can also be seen from time to time.
