The perfect place to observe hunting Fiskeørn while sipping your coffee or having your dinner!
The fish pond is actually a hatchery, where people can catch fish for a small fee. There is a restaurant/cafe with a terras next to the first fish pond. The Fiskeørn stops by every now and then and catches a fish, sometimes at only 20 meters distance! On good days every 5-10 minutes a Fiskeørn arrives.
Most of the fish farm is off limits, but you are allowed to walk around the first two ponds. Breeding birds contain Gråstrupedykker, Rødhodeand and Pungmeis. Other frequent visitors are Sivhauk, Havørn, Glente, Svartglente and Kråke.
Park your car at the parking of the restaurant. The restaurant owners were very friendly for birders, but it is probably best to order some drinks when you sit on their terras. Walking around the ponds is no problem.
The terrain is closed to public by a fence outside opening hours of the restaurant. (something like 8am to 10pm?).
