This is a good place for an afternoon or evening stroll, to try and find the resident Spurveugle and many woodpecker species.
Buckenhofer Forst can be a good area to see Spurveugle which can be seen or heard in the afternoon sitting on trees around the area. The Buckenhofer Forst is also a good area for woodpecker species including Flaggspett, Svartspett and the Gråspett. This can also be a good area for woodland species such as Kattugle, Bokfink, Gjerdesmett, Dompap, Kvinand and Musvåk.
From Uttenreuth you can go straight continously for 3km, until you go past remains of an old metal gate, where you will then go a bit further and turn left and the next turn. From Buckenhof go all the way to the friedhof (cemetary) and continue going straight from there for around 2 km. The circular walk in the area you see on the map is about 2,2 km long.
